In what's become a running theme this season, the Clayton Clippers gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 51-31 margin over Salem County Vo-Tech. The victory was just what Clayton needed coming off of a 72-17 loss in their prior match.
Jordyn Jones continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 19 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Deondria Simon, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and six steals.
Clayton's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Salem County Vo-Tech, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clayton will take on the Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in New Jersey (Pitman is ranked 287th, while the Clippers are ranked 275th). As for Salem County Vo-Tech, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on February 2nd. St. Joseph is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
