Thomas Dale's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ethan Medley, who rushed for 48 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 216 yards and a touchdown on only 18 passes. Another player making a difference was Nj Hines, who rushed for 71 yards and two touchdowns.
Several Blue Devils players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mic'kahari Tatum, who threw for 177 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Raphell Dabney, who picked up 107 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Thomas Dale's victory was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 9-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 31.0 points per game. As for Hopewell, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.
Thomas Dale will head out on the road to face off against Petersburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Petersburg is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. As for Hopewell, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Prince George at 7:00 p.m. Prince George will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 181st, while Hopewell is ranked 47th).
