Freeman and Glen Allen are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2018, but not for long. The Freeman Mavericks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Glen Allen Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Freeman had just enough and edged Thomas Jefferson out 49-46.
Meanwhile, Glen Allen was able to grind out a solid victory over North Stafford on Friday, taking the game 64-52. With that victory, Glen Allen brought their scoring average up to 51 points per game.
Glen Allen can attribute much of their success to Kris Tiller, who scored 29 points along with 8 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Tiller has scored at least 25% of Glen Allen's points. Dallas Chavis was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 5 steals.
Freeman now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Glen Allen, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Freeman came up short against Glen Allen when the teams last played back in January, falling 63-52. Can Freeman avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
