For the second straight game, Desert Hills will face off against Snow Canyon. The Thunder will be playing at home against the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Desert Hills has four straight wins, Snow Canyon has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Tuesday, Desert Hills got the win against Snow Canyon by a conclusive 16-1. The result was nothing new for the Thunder, who have now won 17 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Lulu West made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Desert Hills got a massive performance out of Riley Greene, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Bailey Lee, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.
Desert Hills was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .424. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Snow Canyon only posted a batting average of .273.
Desert Hills' victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 25-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Snow Canyon, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-15.
Desert Hills' speedy runners might be the difference in Friday's contest. The Thunder have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.1 stolen bases per game.
