The Monadnock Huskies posted their closest victory yet this season on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Brattleboro and snuck past 53-51.
When it comes to explaining why Brattleboro lost, one person who can't be blamed is Keagan Systo. Despite the final result, he scored 22 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Systo has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Johnathon Haskins, who scored nine points.
Monadnock has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-6 record this season. As for Brattleboro, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-7.
Monadnock will head out on the road to square off against Conant at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Conant will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line. As for Brattleboro, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Windsor at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Vermont (Windsor is ranked 32nd, while Brattleboro is ranked 34th).
