Worland is on a five-game streak of home losses, Hot Springs County a six-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Worland Warriors will take on the Hot Springs County Bobcats at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Worland suffered their biggest defeat since January 4th on Saturday. They had to suffer through a rough 49-22 loss at the hands of Powell. Worland has struggled against Powell recently, as their contest on Saturday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 54-10, which was the final score in Hot Springs County's tilt against Powell on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Hot Springs County has scored all season.
Hanna Hill was Hot Springs County's leading scorer, having posted six points. Hill also led the team in rebounds with six.
Jayssie Owsley took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.
Worland's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Hot Springs County, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.
Worland couldn't quite finish off Hot Springs County in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 and fell 43-40. Can Worland avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
