Football Recap: Everglades Piles Up the Points Against Flanagan

While Everglades put up plenty of points on Monday, the same can't be said for Flanagan. The Gators claimed a resounding 40-0 win over the Falcons. That looming 40-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Gators yet this season.

Everglades can attribute much of their success to Leilah Lewin, who threw for 193 yards and three TDs. The dominant performance also gave Lewin a new career-high in passer rating (130.5). Another big playmaker for Everglades was Meilani Murillo, who returned a punt for a touchdown.

Everglades didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Keyora Drayton led the group effort, picking up three of those interceptions all by herself.

Everglades has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Flanagan, they dropped their record down to 0-11 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Everglades has already played their next contest (against Chaminade-Madonna), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Flanagan does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
