The SEED: LA Grizzlies and the Providence Pioneers will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. SEED: LA will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1120th, while Providence is ranked 257th).
Last Tuesday, things could have been worse for SEED: LA, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 53-38 loss to The Webb Schools. SEED: LA has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, SEED: LA had strong showings from Amour Escoe-Bailey, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and two steals, and Rayan Juma, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Escoe-Bailey hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games.
Meanwhile, Providence unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 40-39 to Flintridge Prep.
SEED: LA's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Providence, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-10.
