Silsbee came tearing into Wednesday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Madisonville Mustangs 11-1. Considering the Tigers have won 11 contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Silsbee pushed their record up to 19-11 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Madisonville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-12 record this season.
