The Nordonia Knights will be playing at home against the North Ridgeville Rangers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Nordonia will be strutting in after a victory while North Ridgeville will be coming in after a loss.
Last Friday, it was close, but Nordonia sidestepped North Royalton for a 48-46 win. The victory was all the more spectacular given Nordonia's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 242nd, while North Royalton is ranked 75th).
Meanwhile, North Ridgeville's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They took a 63-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Berea-Midpark. North Ridgeville has struggled against Berea-Midpark recently, as their contest on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Nordonia's victory bumped their record up to 8-12. As for North Ridgeville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season.
Nordonia was able to grind out a solid win over North Ridgeville when the teams last played back in February of 2023, winning 55-48. Will Nordonia repeat their success, or does North Ridgeville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
