The Northfield Nighthawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four  games by 25  points or more this season. They blew past Northridge 66-41. The  victory was nothing new for Northfield as they're now sitting on four straight.
 Northfield's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Nashara Ellerbee led the charge by  scoring 12 points along with nine  rebounds and three  steals. Those nine  rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was  Madison Bethel, who  scored 14 points along with five  steals.
 Northridge's loss  on Saturday came despite strong showings from  Sophia Carbajal and  Savanna Amack.  Carbajal  dropped  a double-double on 15 points and 13  rebounds, while  Amack  scored 11 points along with four  steals. Those four  steals set a new season-high mark for her.  Rylee Beck was another key contributor,  scoring five points.
 Northfield's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Northridge, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northfield will have some time to savor their  victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Denver South at 7:30  p.m.  on January 8, 2024. After both having extra time off, Northridge and Fort Morgan will shake off the cobwebs and  square off against  one another  at 6:00  p.m.  on January 9, 2024.
