Timpanogos has gone a perfect 4-0 against Brighton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Timberwolves will face off against the Bengals at 3:30 p.m. Timpanogos is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.2 runs per game this season.
North Sanpete hit Timpanogos with a five-run seventh inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Timberwolves lost 12-2 to the Hawks. The Timberwolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Timpanogos saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kale'a Nakayama, who went 2-for-4 with one run.
Meanwhile, Brighton scored the most runs they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 15-12 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ogden.
Paisley Gallegos put in work no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over 6.2 innings while giving up three earned (and five unearned) runs off eight hits. Gallegos was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of her five plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Cynthia Knowlton stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Those RBI marked the first that she has brought in this season. Lexus Bailey was another key player, going 2-for-4 with five stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Timpanogos' record now sits at 9-3. As for Brighton, their record is now 2-9.
Brighton's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Timpanogos has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.7 hits per game. It's a different story for Brighton, though, as they've been averaging 9.9 hits. Given Timpanogos' sizable advantage in that area, the Bengals will need to find a way to close that gap.
Timpanogos got the 'W' when the teams last played back in March of 2025 against Brighton by a conclusive 13-3 score. Will the Timberwolves repeat their success, or do the Bengals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
