If the Kress Kangaroos were riding high off their 65-31 takedown of the Lazbuddie Longhorns last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Kress was outmatched by Nazareth at home and fell 81-39. Kress has struggled against Nazareth recently, as their contest on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Kress lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Drew Morphis, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Landon Gilles, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
Kress' defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Nazareth, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kress will square off against Happy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Nazareth, they will head out on the road to take on Lazbuddie at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Lazbuddie comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
