The Freedom Patriots will head out on the road to face off against the Easton Area Rovers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.
On Tuesday, Freedom came up short against Pocono Mountain East and fell 60-51. While losing is never fun, Freedom can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 312th, while Pocono Mountain East is ranked 39th).
Meanwhile, Easton Area also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Stroudsburg by a score of 43-36.
The losing side was boosted by Ryan Cornish, who scored 19 points. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for he. Another player making a difference was Jack Grimmer, who scored eight points.
Freedom's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Easton Area, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Everything came up roses for Freedom against Easton Area in their previous matchup back in January as the team secured a 63-33 win. With Freedom ahead 37-11 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
