The Monrovia Bulldogs will square off against the Heritage Christian Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Monrovia is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They took down Indianapolis Scecina Memorial 47-29. The Bulldogs' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Monrovia's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Coewen Stinson, who rushed for 125 yards and one TD on only 15 carries. Stinson has become a key player for the Bulldogs: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least 100 rushing yards, but 2-5 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryder Bain, who rushed for 71 yards and a pair of scores on only ten carries.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Monrovia was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 353 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Meanwhile, Heritage Christian made easy work of Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter on Friday and carried off a 42-22 win. Considering the Eagles have won five matchups by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Monrovia better keep an eye on Eli Nix. He was instrumental in Heritage Christian's win, rushing for 91 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 217 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 77.8% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Elijah Pimental, who gained 120 total yards and two touchdowns.
With the victory, Monrovia broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-6. As for Heritage Christian, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Monrovia has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 231 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Heritage Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 198.9 rushing yards.
