After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Franklin, The Wilson Mules were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 42-0 victory over Torres at home. The result was nothing new for Wilson, who have now won four contests by 25 points or more so far this season.
Among those leading the charge was Dario Perez, who threw for 121 yards and three touchdowns on only nine passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Anthony Haro was another key contributor, picking up 61 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Wilson now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Torres, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wilson will square off against Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Torres is on the road again on October 27th and play against Marshall at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Marshall comes in on a streak of failing to score more than six points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
