Fort Knox has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Beth Haven Bearcats at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Fort Knox has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Fort Knox pushed their score all the way to 83 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 101-83 bruising from Central Hardin. While losing is never fun, Fort Knox can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 242nd, while Central Hardin is ranked 43rd).
In what's become a running theme this season, Beth Haven gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They breezed by Valley on the road to the tune of 87-59. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Beth Haven's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from DaMontez Malone, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Michael Ray Stinnett, who went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 18 points and 3 assists.
Fort Knox has not been sharp recently as the team has lost 12 of their last 14 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season. As for Beth Haven, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 17-7.
Fort Knox lost to Beth Haven on the road by a decisive 69-52 margin in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can Fort Knox avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
