Jonathan Hart was the offensive standout of the contest as he dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Lamar's points. Zion Huggins was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 6 rebounds.
Lamar pushed their record up to 4-8 with that win, which was their third straight at home. As for Wayne Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.
Lamar will head out on the road to face off against Leake Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Leake Academy is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Wayne Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Simpson Academy at 7:00 p.m.
