Softball Recap: Lumen Christi Catholic Now 10-1 over Last 11 Games

Lumen Christi Catholic lost to Reading back in May of 2021, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Titans blew past the Rangers 16-4. Considering the Titans have won 16 games by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Lily Ganton was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie Friedrich, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one run.

Lumen Christi Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Reading only posted an OBP of .391.

Lumen Christi Catholic has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. As for Reading, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-10.

Lumen Christi Catholic didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-1 win against Hudson on the 17th. As for Reading, they have also already played their next game, a 19-1 victory against Concord on the 17th.
