The Bethesda-Chevy Chase Barons had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They breezed by Rockville on the road to the tune of 62-26. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Bethesda-Chevy Chase also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Bethesda-Chevy Chase was led to victory by Riley Petersen and Anna Tercyak. Petersen scored 6 points along with 12 rebounds and 3 steals, while Tercyak scored 15 points along with 4 steals. Frances Doyle was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Bethesda-Chevy Chase's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Rockville, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bethesda-Chevy Chase will take on Poolesville at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Rockville will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Wootton at 7:15 p.m. on December 15th.
