Spring Grove is 10-0 against LeRoy-Ostrander since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Spring Grove Lions will head out on the road to face off against the LeRoy-Ostrander Cardinals at 7:15 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though La Crescent/La Crescent Montessori & Stem scored an imposing 57 points on Thursday, Spring Grove still came out on top. Spring Grove narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past La Crescent/La Crescent Montessori & Stem 60-57.
Meanwhile, LeRoy-Ostrander got the win against Schaeffer Academy on Thursday by a conclusive 71-46. The win was just what LeRoy-Ostrander needed coming off of a 77-39 defeat in their prior contest.
Camden Hungerholt was his usual excellent self, scoring 40 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Those 40 points set a new season-high mark for him. Reid Hungerholt was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Spring Grove's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for LeRoy-Ostrander, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Everything came up roses for Spring Grove against LeRoy-Ostrander in their previous meeting back in January as the team secured a 93-24 win. Does Spring Grove have another victory up their sleeve, or will LeRoy-Ostrander turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
