Delaney Wright was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 17 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ashlyn Graklanoff, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024. Mallorie Casch was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Boise faced Meridian in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Brave were the clear victors by a 13-7 margin over the Warriors. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Boise got a massive performance out of Lilly Hopstad, who went 1-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamryn Newbery, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.
Boise kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Boise has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Timberline, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1.
Everything went Timberline's way against Boise when the teams last played back in March, as Timberline made off with a 12-1 victory. Do the Wolves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Brave turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
