While losing is never fun, John Carroll Catholic can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 395th, while Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy is ranked 40th).
Despite the loss, John Carroll Catholic still got an impressive performance from Caden Johnson, who scored 14 points. Collin Jefferson was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
John Carroll Catholic has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy, they pushed their record up to 14-3 with that win, which was their 12th straight at home.
