The Kent-Meridian Royals will head out on the road to face off against the Yelm Tornados at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Friday, Kent-Meridian was fully in charge, breezing past Kentlake 50-14 on the road. The win was just what Kent-Meridian needed coming off of a 42-14 loss in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, Yelm put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 57-7 win over Gig Harbor at home. That's two games straight that Yelm has won by exactly 50 points.
Brayden Platt had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 192 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.3 yards per carry. Anthony Kiamco also helped out as he racked up 100 rushing yards.
Kent-Meridian's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Yelm, their win was their 12th straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 9-0.
