The Glenbard West Hilltoppers are taking a road trip to take on the York Dukes at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games Glenbard West has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
On Monday, it was close, but Glenbard West sidestepped Lyons for an 8-6 win.

Olivia Salerno spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 14 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ainslie Bobroff, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two doubles. She continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. Emma Eltzroth was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs.
Glenbard West hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lyons struck out eight times.
Meanwhile, York suffered their closest defeat since March 18th on Monday. They fell just short of Downers Grove North by a score of 3-1. The Dukes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Sara Steinecker made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with three doubles.
Glenbard West's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-4. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for York, their loss dropped their record down to 13-8.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Glenbard West has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.5 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like York struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Glenbard West skirted past York 4-3 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hilltoppers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
