Northwest Cabarrus was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight  defeat. They lost  10-2 to the South Rowan Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  13-0  two weeks ago.
 Northwest Cabarrus saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Michael Cagiano, who  went 2-for-3 with one  stolen base and one  RBI. That's the most  hits  Cagiano has posted since back in April of 2024.
Northwest Cabarrus' record is now 2-10. As for South Rowan, the  win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-3.
 We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Northwest Cabarrus is set to  challenge  their familiar foe Carson  at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Meanwhile, South Rowan will  take on  rival Lake Norman Charter  at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
