Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cushing). They blew past the Overton Mustangs 69-24 on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Bearkats sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Cushing's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-9. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.7 points per game. As for Overton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cushing will venture away from home to face off against Carlisle at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Cushing has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Overton and New Summerfield will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Overton is facing New Summerfield at the right time seeing as New Summerfield is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
