On Wednesday, the Anacostia Indians faced the McKinley Tech Trainers in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Anacostia strolled past the Trainers with points to spare, taking the game 43-26. The win was just what Anacostia needed coming off of a 48-23 defeat in their prior matchup.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Anacostia to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nayjah Duvall, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ta'shaun Robinson, who scored 14 points.
Despite the loss, McKinley Tech still got an impressive performance from Kamille Fisher, who scored three points along with seven rebounds and three blocks.
Anacostia's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-9. As for McKinley Tech, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Roosevelt the next time they take the court. McKinley Tech will host Roosevelt at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while Anacostia will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
