After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Paraclete, Saint Joseph was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They never let the El Rancho Dons get on the board and left with an 11-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Jesters, who have now won 12 games by six runs or more so far this season.
Eris Garcia made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 16 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Mariah Becerra was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in March. Morgan Mora also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
