Los Alamos' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gerrianna Romero, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was GG Romero, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds.
Los Alamos is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. As for Santa Fe Indian, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Los Alamos will take on Penasco at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Mexico (Penasco is ranked 59th, while Los Alamos is ranked 43rd). Santa Fe Indian won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Dulce at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. Dulce is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
