Potter's House Christian Blue scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2023 than the 86-24 stomp they got on the road against Zarephath Academy. That looming 86-24 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Potter's House Christian Blue yet this season.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, South Atlanta's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 54-43 to Fort Payne. While losing is never fun, South Atlanta can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 175th in Georgia, while Fort Payne is ranked eighth in Alabama).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Isaac Benton, who scored ten points. The game was his eighth in a row with at least ten points. Duor Duor was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with four blocks.
South Atlanta struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Potter's House Christian Blue's victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for South Atlanta, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.
