Morgan is 9-0 against Hale Ray since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Morgan Huskies will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hale Ray Noises at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Morgan has seven straight wins, Hale Ray has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Tuesday, Morgan strolled past Westbrook with points to spare, taking the game 52-37.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Morgan to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sadie Passante, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. That's the first time this season that Passante pulled down eight or more rebounds. Ava Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with nine rebounds.
While Hale Ray couldn't quite beat Cromwell on Friday, the three-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 51-point defeat they were dealt last Wednesday. Hale Ray fell just short of Cromwell by a score of 45-42. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss Hale Ray has suffered yet this season.
Morgan pushed their record up to 10-3 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Hale Ray, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Morgan against Hale Ray in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 42-14 win. Will Morgan repeat their success, or does Hale Ray have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
