Softball Recap: Foothill's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

Foothill and Basic squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Foothill had to settle for second. They came up short against the Wolves, falling 12-2. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Falcons couldn't push the score so high this time.

Foothill saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jessica Cadena, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

With the defeat, Foothill broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-12-1. As for Basic, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-12 record this season.

Foothill does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Basic, they will take on Doral Academy Red Rock at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Dragons will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Wolves surely won't give up without a fight.
