You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Phelps's strategy against East Ridge on Monday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Phelps Hornets blew the East Ridge Warriors out of the water with a 76-31 final score. The Hornets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 33 points or more this season.

Caleigh McCoy was her usual excellent self, going 13 of 18 on her way to 32 points and six rebounds. McCoy is crushing it when it comes to points: she's scored at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Bailey Norman, who went 5 of 7 on her way to 13 points.

Phelps' win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.3 points per game. As for East Ridge, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Phelps will square off against Twin Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for East Ridge, they will host Jackson City at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
