The Needham Rockets won the last time they faced the Weymouth Wildcats, and things went their way on Friday too. Needham blew past Weymouth 33-7. The result was nothing new for Needham, who have now won three contests by 20 points or more so far this season.
Leading Needham to victory were Tate J Hoffmeister and Aidan Williams. J Hoffmeister rushed for 137 yards and a touchdown, while Williams rushed for 106 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries. J Hoffmeister is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last five games he's played.
The victory makes it two in a row for Needham and bumps their season record up to 6-1. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 24 points. As for Weymouth, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Needham will take on Framingham at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Framingham will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Massachusetts Rankings (they are ranked 80th, while Needham is ranked 11th). As for Weymouth, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wellesley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wellesley will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
