Softball Recap: Lafayette Has No Trouble Against Starks

Lafayette's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Starks Panthers with a sharp 18-3 victory. Considering the Lions have won ten contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Lafayette let Caroline Terro and Kaylee Morgan run wild. Terro went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI, while Morgan scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most stolen bases Terro has posted since back in March of 2024. Ansylie Mayon was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

Lafayette's win bumped their record up to 11-9-1. As for Starks, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-3.

Looking ahead, Lafayette will challenge Cecilia at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Starks, they will host Lake Charles College Prep at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
