The Lee Central Stallions's game on Friday was all tied up 16-16 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 38-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of Andrews. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lee Central has scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Lee Central lost, one person who can't be blamed is Demarius Gregg. Despite the final result, he scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Andrews to victory, but perhaps none more so than Vincent Rhue, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Dayevon McNair, who scored four points along with two steals and two blocks.
This is the second loss in a row for Lee Central and nudges their season record down to 12-9. As for Andrews, their win bumped their record up to 8-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lee Central will take on Kingstree at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Kingstree is ranked 139th, while Lee Central is ranked 149th). As for Andrews, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Marion at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
