The James Monroe Yellow Jackets''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Caroline, falling 56-27. James Monroe was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-6.
Vladimir Joacin, Jr. got back to being his usual excellent self, as he rushed for 211 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.1 yards per carry. Another player making a difference was Myles Holmes, who threw for 189 yards and four touchdowns.
James Monroe's defeat was their fourth straight at home , which bumped their record down to 2-8. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 11.3 points per game. As for Caroline, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-6.
