The Citrus Valley Blackhawks had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 17-14 win over Leuzinger on Friday. The victory was nothing new for Citrus Valley as they're now sitting on seven straight.
Citrus Valley was led to victory by Jordyn Harris and Dawson Martinez. Harris picked up 83 receiving yards and a touchdown, while Martinez rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown.
Citrus Valley's victory was their fourth straight on the road , which pushed their record up to 8-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.0 points per game. As for Leuzinger, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
Citrus Valley will look to defend their home field on Friday against San Juan Hills at 7:00 p.m. Leuzinger does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
