FULLERTON, Calif. - The defense contributed on the scoring end for
Fullerton (Calif.) on Saturday, totaling 12 points as the Indians bested California (Whittier, Calif.) 53-14.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Scott Lloyd in the first quarter, the Indians led 32-7 at the half.
Fullerton expanded its lead to 39 points entering the fourth quarter. FHS scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown pass by Lloyd to
Matt Hall.
Lloyd dashed for two rushing touchdowns during Fullerton's triumph.
Lloyd played well for the Indians in the victory. The senior quarterback threw three touchdowns. He has now scored seven touchdowns on the season.
With the win Fullerton extended its winning streak to four games.
Fullerton (4-0) goes up against San Juan Hills in a non-conference game matchup next week, while California (1-2) locks horns with Schurr also in a non-conference game.
