Softball Recap: Cedarburg's Luck Changes for the Better on Monday

Cedarburg had lost four games straight , but after bumping their record up to 8-5 on Monday that streak is in the rearview. They never let the Port Washington Pirates get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. The Bulldogs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Pirates, too.

As for Port Washington, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season. The game marked the first time this year in which they were not able to get on the board.

For Port Washington's part, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Libby Bates, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Coming up, Cedarburg will take on Grafton at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs are facing the Black Hawks at the right time seeing as the Black Hawks are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Port Washington, they will challenge West Bend East at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
