Several Scorpions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tahji Vinson, who went 5 for 12 on her way to 16 points. Vinson is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Makenna Montel was another key player, putting up ten points and six rebounds.
Even though they lost, Sand Creek smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in three consecutive matchups.
Sand Creek's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Widefield, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-6.
