On Friday, Montgomery beat Wharton 63-50.
Wharton's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jacoryan Dickerson, who scored 14 points along with 9 rebounds. Dickerson scored a full 28% of Wharton's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ja'Korian Baldridge, who scored 9 points.
Montgomery now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Wharton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.
Montgomery is on the road again on Saturday and play against Alvin at 9:30 a.m. on December 2nd. Hopefully Alvin focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Saturday. As for Wharton, they will head out on the road to face off against Barbers Hill at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. Barbers Hill will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
