The Middletown Blue Dragons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Berlin Redcoats at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Middletown is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season.
Last Friday, Middletown ended up a good deal behind Enfield and lost 42-28.
Despite the defeat, Middletown got a solid performance out of Zy'Kie Askew, who rushed for 212 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.1 yards per carry. Askew really tore up the turf during one magnificent 86-yard run. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Ferguson, who picked up 106 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 38 points the game before, Berlin were a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They were beaten by Windsor 41-6. Berlin was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-0.
Middletown now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Berlin, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-3.
