Meanwhile, Cesar Chavez put the finishing touches on their 14th blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Maricopa 56-19 at home.
It was another big night for Lakeisha Robinson, who scored 19 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Sophia Doromal, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Tolleson has not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Cesar Chavez, their win bumped their record up to 16-3.
