Coventry is a perfect 3-0 against Tolland since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Patriots will take on the Eagles at 3:15 p.m. Coventry's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Tolland's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Saturday, Coventry earned a 6-3 win over Windsor Locks. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Patriots.

The team relied heavily on Dustin Menzel, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Dominic Deangelis, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Windsor typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Tolland proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 5-2.

Tolland's victory was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was AJ Hayes, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Coventry pushed their record up to 12-7 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Tolland, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Coventry has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Tolland struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.1 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Everything went Coventry's way against Tolland in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Coventry made off with a 10-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
