The Ambassador Christian School Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Carmel Christian Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ambassador Christian School is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
Ambassador Christian School came out on top against Corvian Community on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run sixth inning. The Lions walked away with a 7-3 win over the Cardinals.

Jacson Taplin made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Ambassador Christian School is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-11 otherwise. Taplin was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Casey Hahne was excellent, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Jax McCoy was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two RBI and one run.
Meanwhile, Carmel Christian gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. Everything went their way against Combine Academy Global as they made off with a 14-3 victory. The Cougars not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since March 6th (when they won 26-2).
Like Ambassador Christian School, Carmel Christian also got a great game from a two-way player: Drew Knowles. He pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Knowles has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Carson Russell, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Nate Trunck, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Carmel Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Ambassador Christian School pushed their record up to 10-11 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Carmel Christian, the win got them back to even at 10-10-2.
