Castle View is 1-7 against Regis Jesuit since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Castle View Sabercats will head out on the road to take on the Regis Jesuit Raiders at 5:30 p.m. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Castle View has struggled recently with five defeats in a row, while Regis Jesuit will arrive with four straight wins.
Last Friday, Castle View suffered a rough 47-27 defeat at the hands of Rock Canyon. While losing is never fun, Castle View can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 98th, while Rock Canyon is ranked 20th).
Elizabeth Mroz put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored ten points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. Kenzie Tosch was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Meanwhile, Regis Jesuit was able to grind out a solid victory over ThunderRidge on Friday, taking the game 52-45.
Castle View has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season. As for Regis Jesuit, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-6.
Castle View came up short against Regis Jesuit in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 55-42. Can Castle View avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
