Blue Mountain is 9-1 against Tamaqua since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Blue Raiders at 4:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Blue Mountain 4, Tamaqua 0.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Blue Mountain is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over Tri-Valley on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Meanwhile, on Saturday Tamaqua's undefeated season almost came to an end. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against East Stroudsburg South. Four seems to be a good number for the Blue Raiders as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Mason Ligenza was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Maximus Najarro also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Blue Mountain is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Tamaqua, they pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Blue Mountain suffered a grim 6-0 defeat to Tamaqua in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
