After having lost a blowout in their previous game against North Muskegon, Grant was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They never let the Newaygo Lions get on the board and left with a 5-0 win. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Lions back in April, they had to take a 4-0 defeat.
The result came thanks to Rory Fish's shutout, as he gave up just six hits.
At the plate, Owen Chesebro was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Kohen Obenauf, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.
Grant has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-10 record this season. As for Newaygo, they dropped their record down to 12-10 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.
As of now, neither Grant nor the Lions have any future games scheduled.
